Motion control (MC) is a branch of automation. It uses some devices that are commonly referred to as servo mechanisms, such as hydraulic pumps, linear executor or motors, to control the position or speed of machines. Motion control is more complex in the field of robots and CNC machine tools than in special machines, because the latter is simpler in motion and is commonly referred to as general motion control (GMC). Motion control is widely used in packaging, printing, textile and assembly industries.
