In the first generation of the vehicle two diesel engines will provide energy to a
generator transforming it to 700V on a DC bus. The DC bus provides enough
energy for both propulsion and the auxiliary equipment. The now existing
prototypes are, to a large extent, equipped with hydraulic systems for energy
conversion. It is desirable to replace the hydraulic system with an electrical one.
As a part of the development this master thesis will evaluate a prototype of an
inverter for the cooling fan motor.
