Description: 通过单一的Wi-Fi接入点的信号强度来判断移动物体的位置。比较新的一篇文章。用了蒙特卡罗抽样的办法-Monte Carlo Sampling Method-来估计位置。-This paper describes research towards a system
for locating wireless nodes in a home environment requiring
merely a single access point. The only sensor reading used for
the location estimation is the received signal strength indication
(RSSI) as given by an RF interface, e.g.,Wi-Fi.Wireless
signal strengthmaps for the positioning filter are obtained by
a two-step parametric and measurement driven ray-tracing
approach to account for absorption and reflection characteristics
of various obstacles. Location estimates are then
computed using Bayesian filtering on sample sets derived
by Monte Carlo sampling. We outline the research leading
to the system and provide location performance metrics using
trace-driven simulations and real-life experiments. Our
results and real-life walk-troughs indicate that RSSI readings
from a single access point in an indoor environment
are sufficient to derive good location estimates of users with
sub-room precision. Platform: |

Description: INTER-CARRIER INTERFERENCE CANCELLATION FOR OFDM SYSTEMS:
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is an emerging multi-carrier modulation scheme, which has been adopted for several wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11a and HiperLAN2. A well-known problem of OFDM is its sensitivity to frequency offset between the transmitted and received carrier frequencies. This frequency offset introduces inter-carrier interference (ICI) in the OFDM symbol. This project investigates three methods for combating the effects of ICI: ICI self-cancellation (SC), maximum likelihood (ML) estimation, and extended Kalman filter (EKF) method. These three methods are compared in terms of bit error rate performance, bandwidth efficiency, and computational complexity. Through simulations, it is shown that the three techniques are effective in mitigating the effects of ICI. For high values of the frequency offset and for higher order modulation schemes, the ML and EKF methods perform better than the SC method. Platform: |

Description: Abstract
This paper talk about the communication protocol named LEACH. The protocol focuses on reducing the power consumption of wireless sensor networks, which can have significant impact on the overall energy dissipation of these networks. LEACH uses localized
coordination to enable scalability and obustness for dynamic networks, and incorporate data fusion into the routing protocol to reduce the amount of information that must be transmitted to the base station. Simulations show that LEACH can achieve as much as a factor of 8 reductions in energy dissipation compared with conventional routing protocols. In addition, LEACH is able to distribute energy dissipation evenly throughout
the sensors, doubling the useful system lifetime for the networks we simulated. Platform: |

Description: Estimating the positions of sensor nodes is a fundamental and
crucial problem in ad hoc wireless sensor networks (WSNs).
In this paper, an accurate node localization method for WSNs
is devised based on the weighted least squares technique with
the use of time-of-arrival measurements. Computer simulations
are included to evaluate the performance of the proposed
approach by comparing with the classical multidimensional
scaling method and Cram´ er-Rao lower bound. Platform: |

Description: Power consumption is an important design criterion in
the design of wireless sensor networks. Hybrid radio
frequency/free space optical wireless sensor networks (RF/FSO
WSN) have been proposed to reduce the energy consumption of
traditional RF-based sensor networks. This paper compares the
performance of such a hybrid sensor network against the wellknown
RF-based low energy adapting clustering hierarchy
(LEACH) WSN proposed in the literature. Network performance
is studied in terms of network lifetime and average network area
coverage. Simulations show that despite not employing data
aggregation, the RF/FSO WSN has a longer lifetime and larger
average network coverage when compared to the LEACH WSN Platform: |

relationship between complexity and detection performance of SD.
Sphere radius is proposed to be a transition parameter, thus the quantified
relationship is analyzed theoretically. This part of work can be divided
into three paas:1)In order to analyze the performance of SD,the
asymptotic bound of optimal performance is utilized, and latter the
performance loss caused by search space reduction is quantified with the
help of above bound.Since the performance loss is affected by the sphere
radius directly, sphere radius Can be used to represent the performance
feature of SD.2)Based on the characteristic of complexity of SD,derive
all upper.bound of average complexity;therefore the sphere radius
becomes the metric of average complexity.3)By making use of sphere
radius, the bridge between performance and complexity can be built. The
compute simulations verify above analysis for different MIMO use cases. Platform: |

Description: Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is a promising air-interface technology for its ability to support massive wireless mobile terminals. In this paper, the outage performance for
uplink NOMA systems employing the dynamic ordered successive
interference cancellation receiver is analyzed under the independent but not identically distributed (i.ni.d.) fading environment.
We theoretically reveal the general approach to derive the closedform outage probability expression for an arbitrary number of
serving users. Under the i.ni.d. fading environment, the probability
for each possible decoding order is derived respectively based on
the observation of the time-varying received power strength for
each user. Furthermore, encountering the challenge of solving the
multidimensional integration, a recursive method is proposed to
deal with the conditional outage probabilities under a certain
decoding order as a joint probability problem with the linear
constraints of the decoding order and the required data rate.
Finally, we derive the closed-form outage probability expressions.
The simulations are performed to validate the accuracy of the
theoretical results and reveal the superiority of the dynamic mode
over the fixed one. Platform: |

Description: To address the ever increasing high data rate and
connectivity requirements in the next generation 5G wireless
network, novel radio access technologies (RATs) are actively
explored to enhance the system spectral efficiency and connectivity. As a promising RAT for 5G cellular networks, nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has attracted extensive
research attentions. Compared with orthogonal multiple access
(OMA) that has been widely applied in existing wireless communication systems, NOMA possesses the potential to further
improve system spectral efficiency and connectivity capability.
This paper develops analytical frameworks for NOMA downlink
and uplink multi-cell wireless systems to evaluate the system
outage probability and average achievable rate. In the downlink
NOMA system, two different NOMA group pairing schemes are
considered, based on which theoretical results on outage and
achievable data rates are derived. In the uplink NOMA, revised
back-off power control scheme is applied and outage probability
and per UE average achievable rate are derived. As wireless
networks turn into more and more densely deployed, inter-cell
interference has become a dominant capacity limiting factor but
has not been addressed in most of the existing NOMA studies.
In this paper a stochastic geometry approach is used to model a
dense wireless system that supports NOMA on both uplink and
downlink, based on which analytical results are derived either in
pseudo-closed forms or succinct closed forms and are further
validated by simulations. Numerical results demonstrate that
NOMA can bring considerable system-wide performance gain
compared to OMA on both uplink and downlink when properly
