Energy conservation in CAMAC is achieved in three fronts: on-demand spectrum sensing, limiting the number of spectrum sensing nodes, and applying a duty cycle. -Cognitive Adaptive Medium Access Control in Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks Spectrum sensing is an integral part of MAC in CR networks and also an energy-consuming operation.
