Description: The shape feature of an image is generally analyzed after the object is segmented from the image. The combination of shape feature description and dimensional measurement can be used as a basis for distinguishing different objects. There are two types of representation methods for shape features, one is boundary feature and the other is regional feature. The contour features of the image are primarily directed to the outer boundary of the object, while the regional features of the image are related to the entire shape region.
