Description: This paper mainly introduces a design process of a distributed clock system based on RMI (Remote Method Invocation). Firstly, it introduces the fundamental principle of RMI and the distributed system, and then, completes the design according to the experiment requirements. The design is able to display and update current time in different machines. And it also eliminate the tight coupling between client and server during developing-time and running-time.
