article presents a family of probabilistic localization algorithms known as Monte Carlo Localization
[MCL]. MCL algorithms represent a robot’s belief by a set of weighted hypotheses [samples],
which approximate the posterior under a common Bayesian formulation of the localization problem.
Building on the basic MCL algorithm, this article develops a more robust algorithm called Mixture-
MCL, which integrates two complimentary ways of generating samples in the estimation. To apply
this algorithm to mobile robots equipped with range finders, a kernel density tree is learned that
permits fast sampling. Systematic empirical results illustrate the robustness and computational
efficiency of the approach. 2001 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.

WSNs have several aplications such as militar survival, traffic control, building security, scientific research in other planets, etc. This project presents a communication protocol for wireless sensor networks based on the ant colony optimization metaheuristic, which uses artificial ant agents that recolects data from all sensor nodes of the network. Every ants fuzes data from a node and sends it to every other sensor and then to the base station. All ants look for a way to go where there is an energy eficient path.

according to my "fire detection system for tall building" project by using Spartan 3E FPGA, the vhdl program need to include all of dis specification:-
First of all, we ll put sensor/smoke detector each floor in the tall building.
1) alarm ll activated if the sensor/smoke detector sense a fire
2)at the same time, the actuator will activate in order to control such a elevator and any other machines in the building.
3)the controller will display which floor caught by fire and the sensor/smoke detector initial or current temperature.
4)If there is false alarm, we can stop it by push the reset button .-vhdl source code of fire detection system/fire alarm system especially for high rise building?

Description: The need to reprogramme a wireless sensor network may arise from
changing application requirements, bug fixes, or during the application
development cycle. Once deployed, it will be impractical at
best to reach each individual node. Thus, a scheme is required to
wirelessly reprogramme the nodes. We present an energy-efficient
code distribution scheme to wirelessly update the code running in
a sensor network. Energy is saved by distributing only the changes
to the currently running code. The new code image is built using
an edit script of commands that are easy to process by the nodes.
A small change to the programme code can cause many changes to
the binary code because the addresses of functions and data change.
A naive approach to building the edit script string would result in
a large script. We describe a number of optimisations and present
experimental results showing that these significantly reduce the edit
