This paper gives guidelines for CPE-based MSE correction methods, taking into account ICI mainly come from the adjacent channel interference, then presents a rule-based LMS adaptive adjacent channel interference cancellation method. the algorithm is simple and efficient. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm greatly improved the performance of OFDM systems

The estimation of channel at pilot frequencies with conventional Least Square (LS) and Minimum Mean Square (MMSE) estimation algorithms is carried out through Matlab simulation. Then the estimation of optimal symbol timing and carrier frequency offset can be acquired .The computer simulation results show that the proposed algorithm not only can track time varying channel change but also has smaller MSE than that of ML estimation algorithm.
