Description: The M2C generates output voltage with lower harmonic
content than that for the two-level converter. Therefore, it
does not require ac filters. The absence of a switching
frequency component the arm current and operation
of switching devices at reduced frequency shows that the
M2C may produce lower audible noise than the two-level
converter.
