Description: The JPEG standard records some EXIF information in the file, which is a smaller JPEG image stored in the EXIF information section. When Windows first displays the thumbnail, read the "Thumbs. Db" file in the current directory, which is actually a thumbnail database to determine if there is a thumbnail of the image. If there is no "Thumbs. Db" file or a thumbnail of the image in the library, then Windows will attempt to retrieve the EXIF information in the image to determine whether the thumbnail data exists. If the image in the EXIF information does not exist in the thumbnail or wrong information, then Windows will use the method of interpolation to regenerate the thumbnail (if possible to save the current directory "Thumbs. Db" thumbnail in the database). For modifying the thumbnail method, you can use ultraEdit to edit the files directly to replace EXIF information or to use tools like exifer, which is not the topic of this article.
