[GIS program] GISandCAMapplications DL : 0: CanvasGIS is an object oriented 2D graphics drawing component. It s a part of MVisionTech open source GIS and data visualization framework. CanvasGIS had been used in the GisMap component presented in my previous article. Many applications require two dimensional graphics to provide graphical input and represent different types of data. Some examples of two dimensional data presentation are charts displaying numerical data, maps representing the geometry of roads and other geographical objects, diagrams representing object relations and CAD/CAM tools. [GIS program] AnimationMoveGraphicAlongPath DL : 0: ArcGIS his sample implements the move-object-along-path functionality for ArcMap Animation. It allows you to move a point graphic element or a text element along a selected line feature or a selected line graphic. A new animation type (Map Graphic animation type) and its corresponding keyframe (Map Graphic keyframe) are implemented to support moving graphic along path. It also implements an ArcMap command for creating a move-object-along-path animation. The purpose of this sample is to illustrate how to create a custom animation type in ArcMap as well as how to implement an ArcMap command to import the animation tracks. To create a custom animation type, you need to implement a new keyframe class and a new animation type class.
