In this paper, the formation and development of these test systems are introduced. Then through careful analysis, the present system has the drawbacks of system updating and maintenance, which is still not mature enough. Based on the thinking of existing products, combining with the maturing of the J2EE technology, we thought about whether the technique can be used in online exam system, puts forward an on-line examination system based on J2EE architecture. By comparing the architecture with the existing structure's online examination system, the advantages of this architecture are analyzed, and the overall structure of the framework and related concepts and technologies are highlighted. It also makes a more in-depth analysis of the architecture by designing an online testing system based on the J2EE architecture. Finally, a summary of the development of J2EE technology is considered, and the technology has good development space and broad prospects
