Plotting an arrow in axis coordinate space can be difficult, since Matlab s built-in arrow function works in figure coordinate space. This function does the axis-to-figure coordinate calculation and places an annotation arrow in the correct location. It also provides a button-down function to re-sync the line and arrow if you resize the axis or figure, or change the line properties.
