Based on gray-scale for the existing image mosaic method similar shortcomings, we propose a fast algorithm for image mosaic. The image mosaic algorithm took into account the accuracy and speed of extraction in the baseline characteristics of the block on the edge information using a simple threshold method to achieve self-selected basis blocks and improve the accuracy of image mosaic to block search, using pyramid hierarchical search strategy to improve the speed of the image mosaic. Experiments show that the algorithm extends the traditional scope of stitching algorithm has good performance.
