This report is the conclusion of the post-course work following the Nordic PhD-course on Wind Power, which was held on Smø la 5th – 11th June 2005. The goal of the project was to construct a Simulink model of a 2.5 MW wind turbine with direct-driven permanent magnet generator connected to the grid via a back-to-back three-phase converter. The model was then to be tested in simulation runs.
