The library is based upon a VoIP framework which I developed for my university thesis at the ‘School for Knowledge Technology’ (‘School voor Kennistechnologie’ in Dutch), a coop- eration between the Hasselt University 1 and the Maastricht University2. This VoIP framework merely defi ned the necessary components for a VoIP session and specifi ed how these compo- nents should interact with each other. For each component type (e.g. the compression scheme) I made one or more implementations.
