Research on Role-Based Workflow Modeling Abstract: The traditional process-based workflow modeling ignores the cooperation between roles .The paper reviews the existing workflow modeling method based on role from the view of role and their cooperation, then presents a workflow role modeling method based on Petri net which clarifies the interfaces of roles and emphasizes the coordination between roles. Model verification and model analysis is facilitated because of Petri net’s formalized semantics.
