Introduces the design and implementation of the smart phone system software based on the embedded Linux. The system software is divided into four layers with the operating system as the bottom layer, which realizes the transplantations of embedded Linux. The second layer is the system service which deals with the database service as well as all the business related with cell phones. In the third layer, the middle layer, the embedded GUI realizes the human-computer interface and the J2ME middleware supports the download and running of java programmers. The top layer is the application layer of smart phones where the basic functions and other applications of cell phones are realized.
