Abstract
Digital watermark technology is now drawing attention
as a new method of protecting digital content from unauthorized
copying. This paper presents a novel audio watermarking
algorithm to protect against unauthorized copying
of digital audio. The proposed watermarking scheme includes
a psychoacoustic model of MPEG audio coding to
ensure that the watermarking does not affect the quality of
the original sound. After embedding the watermark, our
scheme extracts copyright information without access to the
original signal by using a whitening procedure for linear
prediction filtering before correlation. Experimental results
show that our watermarking scheme is robust against
common signal processing attacks and it introduces no audible

This paper presents a novel scheme of
watermarking of digital images for copyright protection and
authentication. In this paper we proposed a method of
embedding owner’s speech signal. Speech being a biometric data,
the watermark signal in this method is expected to be more
meaningful and has closer correlation with copyright holder.
The main issue of concern here is the capacity because the speech
data has large number of samples. Linear predictive coding is
used to encode the audio data. Here, speech samples are
imperceptibly inserted using spread spectrum technique into the
mid frequency band of wavelet transform of image which makes
it robust to lossy compression. Applications for such a speechhiding
scheme include copy protection, authentication and covert

Description: Similar to other digital assets, deep neural network
(DNN) models could suffer from piracy threat initiated by insider
and/or outsider adversaries due to their inherent commercial
value. DNN watermarking is a promising technique to mitigate
this threat to intellectual property. This work focuses on black-
box DNN watermarking, with which an owner can only verify
his ownership by issuing special trigger queries to a remote
suspicious model. However, informed attackers, who are aware
of the watermark and somehow obtain the triggers, could
forge fake triggers to claim their ownerships since the poor
robustness of triggers and the lack of correlation between the
model and the owner identity. This consideration calls for new
watermarking methods that can achieve better trade-off for
addressing the discrepancy. In this paper, we exploit frequency
domain image watermarking to generate triggers and build our
DNN watermarking algorithm accordingly. Since watermarking
in the frequency domain is high concealment and robust to
signal processing operation, the proposed algorithm is superior to
existing schemes in resisting fraudulent claim attack. Besides, ex-
tensive experimental results on 3 datasets and 8 neural networks
demonstrate that the proposed DNN watermarking algorithm
achieves similar performance on functionality metrics and better
performance on security metrics when compared with existing
